A perfect mix: Greek yogurt, granola, overnight oats and hazelnut butter

I have to admit one thing. Last couple of months I prepared only one breakfast every day. I don’t know if it’s because I’m not creative, or because I’m lazy in the morning or just because this breakfast is so perfect so there is no need to change it. I’m talking about the layered breakfast I already shared one recipe for. You can change and combine the ingredients as you wish or with what you find in your fridge.
Maybe I am creative after all 🙂

Normally I put Greek yogurt as the first layer, then homemade granola (you can also use the store bought version but sometimes I find it too sweet so I prefer my homemade one). The most important layer is overnight oats layer and you can find different recipes on the blog (here I used the recipe with cocoa). As the last layer I put hazelnut butter but you can use whichever butter you have, almond, peanut or walnut butter. I wanted to decorate it a little but so I just added one homemade praline but you can also put some more Greek yogurt, fruit or chocolate chunks. It’s up to you.
As you can see, this breakfast gives you a lot of options and combinations and it’s up to you to be creative and find your favourite one. Create with fruits, colours, ingredients, sometimes life is grey and dull so let’s make it more colourful by enjoying the little things.

A PERFECT MIX: GREEK YOGURT, GRANOLA, OVERNIGHT OATS AND HAZELNUT BUTTER

Overnight oats:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup oats
  • 1 ½ cup rice or almond milk
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon agave syrup
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa

Directions:

  1. Pour oats into an airtight container.
  2. Add maple syrup, cocoa and chia seeds.
  3. Pour milk and mix well.
  4. Leave it in the fridge overnight.

*The quantity of ingredients for different layers I used: 2 tsp Greek yogurt, 5 tsp granola, 2 tbs overnigh oats and 1-2 tsp hazelnut butter, but you can put as much as you want. It’s up to you to decide the quantity 😉
