Do you regularly exercise? I realy hope you are not looking for excuses to skip going to the gym or jogging. I’m a very dynamic person and I get bored easily so going to the gym without any special plan of exercising means I’ll try to skip it. But, going to a group class is a different thing. First of all, the time flies so fast when you are exercising in a group that you hardly notice it and more importantly, after this kind of training I really feel like I exercised. These trainings are normally in the evening so I’m…
I have to admit one thing. Last couple of months I prepared only one breakfast every day. I don’t know if it’s because I’m not creative, or because I’m lazy in the morning or just because this breakfast is so perfect so there is no need to change it. I’m talking about the layered breakfast I already shared one recipe for. You can change and combine the ingredients as you wish or with what you find in your fridge. Maybe I am creative after all 🙂 Normally I put Greek yogurt as the first layer, then homemade granola (you can also…
So long awaited New Year has finally arrived. Some of us entered it with a lot of noise and broken glasses, wanting to make very clear they are ready for new challenges. Others were shy and whispered their hopes and desires to the New Year, fearing they could scare it away or offend it if said out loud. Whether we want to admit it or not, New Year’s Eve represents a new hope to all of us, a chance to reset all the bad things that happened. It’s a chance for a fresh start and the opportunity to become better and more…
I never liked coconut very much nor I liked cakes with it, I even didn’t like Raffaello. As homemade Raffaello was one of the cakes my mother used to make on our Saint patron’s day, she always had to make it without coconut because no one in my family liked it. In the end, our Raffaello always turned into white chocolate balls with hazelnut inside, and we all loved it. Some time ago, since I’ve changed my eating habits, coconut became an essential part of my diet. First, I started to use coconut oil, then coconut sugar and then shredded coconut. I…
In Spain, the 6th and the 8th of December are public holidays so this entire week was pretty strange. I worked on Monday, had a day off on Tuesday, worked on Wednesday and again had a day off on Thursday. Today I’m working again and then it’s weekend. If it were for me, I could work like this every week. I think everyone would be more productive if they worked less, and had more time for themselves and their families. Stress would be reduced and everyone would be happier… I love December in Barcelona. The maximum temperature is around 15 degrees, the sky is cloudless and in the Sun…
Hey guys! How are you today? Fine, I hope! There have recently been some changes in my life so I’m a bit overwhelmed by everything. I’ve just started a new job and my feelings about it are still a bit mixed up. It’s kind of a job I would normally never apply for but…There is always a but. I saw the most adorable bag and I needed money to buy it, so I went to the interview and got the job. I have the craziest stories and reasons to do things, I know. So now, after this crazy week of training at…
I just love my blog! Although I have devoted an enormous amount of time into writing travel stories, recipes, translations and photographs, every moment spent on this website is incredibly fulfilling and makes me very happy. I haven’t been working with such dedication and joy for a long time, and I simply forgot what it means to love your job. Today I made my first video recipe for layered breakfast and, impatient as I am, I had to immediately share it with you. Although I made and edited a lot of videos before, making my first video recipe was incredibly fun and I enjoyed…
Winter is coming so I should probably start preparing desserts that are more suitable for cold weather. But, I still don’t want to give up ice-cream, especially if I can prepare it for breakfast and mix it with homemade granola, strawberries and chocolate chunks. I mean, is there anything that sounds more perfect than ice-cream for breakfast? I bought two kilos of bananas last week. It was too much for me and my husband to eat, so I decided to freeze half of them before they went bad. And it was a great idea because, later, I those regular frozen bananas into heavenly good ice-cream. In less…
Sunday mornings are for sleeping until late and eating great breakfast. And also for doing lots of great stuff you don’t have time for during the week. Like taking long walks, or riding your bike or traveling somewhere…Sundays are magical days! Speaking of doing something cool today, I’m so ready to take my bike and go to the beach. I love looking at the sea and the perfect blue sky. It wipes my troubles away. Sometimes I love Barcelona so much but, I have to admit, sometimes I feel so bored here. I know you will call me crazy, but I guess it happens…
Granola is something I always like to have in my kitchen. It’s delicious, healthy and great to combine with all sorts of ingredients. You can combine it with overnight oats, chia pudding, yoghurt, milk and fruits. Even when I travel, I bring a jar of homemade granola with me to have for breakfast cause you never know what kind of breakfast you’ll have in your hotel. Sometimes there are some healthy options, but sometimes you can only have bread, croissants or cakes and that’s really not something I’d eat for breakfast. Better safe than sorry, I always say. Even if I…
