Mango and banana smoothie

The sky is pretty strange today, not completely cloudy nor clear. It is one of those days when you need a little extra energy to boost your mood, when you need more fruit and bright colors.
Is there anything better to boost your energy at the beginning of autumn than a bright yellow mango smoothie? It’s like summer in a cup, if you ask me. Mmmm, as good as it gets.
When I first tasted mango, I didn’t like it so much. I found its taste similar to the taste of parsley. I guess this will sound strange to all of you out there who love mango, but that was my first impression.
I haven’t tasted mango for a long time after that, but I decided to give it a second chance and I wasn’t wrong. It’s not only that I started to love its taste, but it became one of my favorite fruit. But, to be honest, I was a bit skeptical about making mango smoothie. Only until I made it.

There is nothing tastier, creamier and more perfect than this smoothie, which taste reminds me of ice-cream. And, is there anything better than ice-cream you can drink? No, there isn’t. And if you add a little bit of hazelnut butter to this combo, you will make a perfection.
What I love most about this kind of smoothies is they are really healthy but also very tasty, so they can even replace your breakfast or an afternoon snack. I’m sure you’re gonna love it.

MANGO AND BANANA SMOOTHIE

Prep time: 2 minutes

Serves: 2-3


Ingredients:

  • 1 frozen mango
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 1/2 cups almond or coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon collagen powder (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup hazelnuts

Directions:

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Drink immediately.
